Buryachok Family, 4th Quarter Update (2015)

Dear brothers and sisters,

The warmest greetings to you in the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

With great joy I thank you for your prayers for our family and ministry. Thank you very much for your financial support; it is a great blessing for us. May our Lord reward you hundredfold and generously provide your every need!

The hard and tense year for our country is over. We could never have thought that so many things would change so fast. Fighting in the Eastern Ukraine, fear of war in the entire country, refugees, increase of prices, it all affects people and only Jesus Christ keeps encouraging us, sending peace and joy to our hearts. As Jesus promised in John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Recently our congregation pays much attention to worship God and encouraging people. We have organized the worship group and plan to develop this ministry in our congregation. On our Sunday worship service we spend about one hour worshipping God – singing, sharing testimonies about God’s work in our lives and prayers. Still, we feel the lack of prayer, so we decided with our group of brothers that we will gather on a special prayer meetings once a month to pray for each member of our church by name, for every teenager and child who attends our services or Sunday school, because only God can change hearts.

Timofei dedication

We also want to thank you for your prayer and financial support. Today we especially realize how valuable it is for us. Despite all the difficulties, we have many reasons for joy. The great joy for our family is our youngest son Timofei. He’s a very cheerful and beautiful boy. Photo 1 – dedication prayer for him in the church.

More and more we get convinced that if our priority is ministry to God, then we’ll surely have blessings. The example of it is the life of a young sister Natalia from our church. For several years she has been a member of our church but never showed any initiative in ministry. Because of her job she often missed the Sunday services. Her husband is an unbeliever and their relationships were very tense. He was against church. Natalia felt her spiritual weakness. A sister in our church prayed for her and her family and once Natalia said, “I want my husband and daughter to be saved, so I have to place God in the first place in my life”. She left her job and started helping in our day center. It contributed much to her spiritual growth. Then the Lord made a miracle – He disposed her husband’s heart and gave additional income to her family. Now Natalia serves much in the children’s ministry, as well as in the worship group and dreams for her entire family to serve God altogether (photo 2).

Timofei dedication

Recently our teenage club is actively developing. Boys and girls feel rather free on our meetings, they ask questions, sing and pray. Many of them come to our worship services. Considering the fact that the majority of these teenagers are poor, we prepare a snack for them every time. “Jesus called His disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way” (Matthew 15:32). We also pray God to strengthen their hearts and help us build relationships with their parents.

I would like to share one passage from God’s Word that speaks about one of our aims on this earth – advance of the Gospel. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). Amen!

With love and prayers for you,

Buryachok Family, 3rd Quarter Update (2015)

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are very much grateful to you for your prayer and financial support of our ministry to the Lord. It is a great blessing and honor for us to serve the Lord together with you. May He reward you hundredfold for your sacrificial ministry in Ukraine!

With great joy I thank you for your prayers for our family and ministry. Thank you very much for your financial support; it is a great blessing for us. May our Lord reward you hundredfold and generously provide your every need!

Thank God, delivery went well – God gave us a healthy wonderful boy, Timofei. With great joy, children reacted to his birth, especially the youngest children, Matfei and Mariyka.

Baptized Alexander

New people have come to our church. This year we baptized three new members of the church – two ladies and a young man Alexander (photo 1). Alexander grew in a family of drug addicts. In his childhood he attended a Sunday school. He always wanted to change something in his life; he didn’t want to live like his family. Currently he went to study in Kiev. He also participates in a ministry among dysfunctional families.

This year we plan on ordaining one brother to the diaconal ministry. His name is Sergei. Together with his wife and children they help us greatly in our ministry.

After summer holidays we have started our “Day Center” for children, but we don’t have enough teachers for this ministry. This ministry is a difficult one because our center is attended by children from dysfunctional families, each of them having their wounds and problems. Therefore we ask the Lord to send us those ministers who would love and be patient to these children.

Baptized Alexander

This summer took place a wonderful camp for teenagers of our county. God called me to serve as one of the organizers of this camp. In a special way God touched children’s hearts throughout the camp – they asked questions, told about themselves, opened their hearts and prayed together with leaders. During camp a boy, David, came to me. He is a refugee from Donetsk. With his mother they escaped from war and came to his grandmother, but because of the financial challenges, his mother had to go to work in Italy. David remained with his grandmother. He says that it is very difficult for him and he misses his mother. He has no friends and children at school offend him, calling him “separatist”. Only in camp he felt comfortable, found friends and learned about the Friend, who never betrays and always understands – Jesus Christ.

Baptized Alexander

In our church we also have started a club for teenagers. It is attended by about 15 young people. Our musician, Sergei, also has started a free class of playing the guitar. There he teaches youth playing Christian songs (photo 2).

Thanks to other churches and separate people, we have some clothes, which we give to widows and needy people. They are very grateful for that (photo 3). We also try to help with medical treatment to the children from our Day Center and children of the members of our church, because it is very hard financial times now. The prices for medicines have increased greatly.

Buryachok Family, 2nd Quarter Update (2015)

Dear brothers and sisters,

The warmest greetings to you in the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are grateful to the Lord for this wonderful opportunity to share with you those blessings and prayer needs which we have.

Children's Day Camp

Thank God, that in our family everything is wonderful; children are growing up, my wife feels well, we are very much grateful to you for your prayers and support. It means so much for us during this difficult time. Moreover, my wife is pregnant. There were certain bothers and difficulties, but we hope in our Lord.

The great blessing for us was that some people found out about our ministry among children and presented us with a playground for children.

Thank God, we have five preaching brothers now, therefore with our youth we have an opportunity to visit neighbor village churches, participate in their services and encourage them (photo 2).

Many people live at the edge of poverty and their lives can be called nothing but surviving. We try to visit needy families and refuges as much as we can (photo 3). Therefore we ask you, dear friends, to pray for us so that God will give us an opportunity to buy food for these needy people. Our congregation is small and we can’t provide all of the needs ourselves.

As far as prices for natural gas have increased greatly, we need to change the way we heat our Prayer House and replace the heating system and boiler to heating by wood. Please, pray God for provision of everything required for this purpose. We need to do it before cold weather.

We also have a need to arrange the yard and fence around our Prayer House, and we give this need to the Lord because we cannot solve everything ourselves.

Our major prayer request is for revival in our country, peace and economic improvement. I am very bothered by the fact that many sisters from our church go abroad to earn money. Church ministry, families and sisters themselves suffer because of it.

We are sincerely grateful to you for your prayer and financial support. May our Almighty God reward you hundredfold and generously provide your every need!

With love and prayers for you,

Buryachok Family, 1st Quarter Update (2015)

Dear brothers and sisters,

The warmest greetings to you in the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are grateful to the Lord for this wonderful opportunity to share with you those blessings and prayer needs which we have.

Thank God, that in our family everything is wonderful; children are growing up, my wife feels well, we are very much grateful to you for your prayers and support. It means so much for us during this difficult time. Moreover, my wife is pregnant. There were certain bothers and difficulties, but we hope in our Lord.

In general, our church is doing well. Thank God, we have a good fellow ministry and understanding with deacon Sergei and two other preachers. The special joy and encouragement for me is that for almost two months my father attends our church. There was a time that he led a bad lifestyle, drank and was against my mother attending church services. But now he has transformed entirely. Last Sunday he asked us to pray for him because he wanted to start a new life. It is God’s miracle, and we pray for him and after our prayer I gave him a big hug. It is a great joy for all of us. We Thank God for this miracle!

About two months ago a young woman Tanya repented. She sincerely dedicated her life to the Lord and joined our church team. We encourage her to help in the children’s ministry, where helpers are much needed. We were blessed to hold an evangelistic meeting for children in a public school of the town Lyubar.

Shoes for Nastya

It is sad that sometimes people come, we share our love and compassion with them, but then they disappear. It happened with Alexander, about whom I wrote in my previous report. But we keep praying for him and keep helping those who need our help. The Lord said “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).

Nastya who is from a large family, together with brothers she constantly attends our day center. Their family is at the edge of surviving. These children are in great need. Thanks to the Lord, we were blessed to purchase shoes and required clothes for them.

At present we start a new ministry, which has to encourage people to pray. We place a special tent in the downtown, in which we give prayer books to people – brochures with Psalms. People can give us their prayer requests, we pray for them and build relationships with them. At present this ministry is just starting, therefore we ask you to pray for us, so that God will work in people’s hearts. People are tired of the difficult life and war, and many of them understand how much prayer is needed now. Our churches constantly organize the overnight prayer meetings for Ukraine.

We are so much grateful to you for all that you do for us. Thank you so much for your prayer and financial support. May the Lord bless you, dear friends! We are privileged to serve the Lord together with you. Please, pray for peace in Ukraine.

With love and prayers for you,
